Traditional Chinese almanac (建除十二神) — best days for starting long trips, international travel, and important journeys.
For auspicious travel dates, the almanac considers Day Officers that support safe passage and smooth journeys. Officers such as 开 Open (Kāi) and 成 Succeed (Chéng) favor departure. The scoring also accounts for the traveler's birth year animal's harmony with the day's earthly branch. Days governed by 危 Danger (Wēi) are specifically flagged as inauspicious for travel in classical texts.
