Xiang Yu, once the most powerful warlord in China, was now trapped at Gaixia with his army by Han forces. He was a lion hiding in a cage, exhausted but not yet broken. Then Han Xin, the Han commander, ordered his troops to sing the folk songs of Xiang Yu's homeland, Chu, from every direction across the dark battlefield.
