The traditional Chinese wish made under plum blossoms in winter has a specific quality: it is made in the cold, under the first bloom of the year, before the season has changed. The plum blossom wish says: I can see what is possible before it has arrived.

Making a wish in the cold says: I believe in warmth that has not yet arrived.

Make your wish now, before the conditions are favorable. The wish precedes the warmth.
